Good to know

When can I download iDoughMath?

Very soon. iDoughMath is on its way to the App Store. The App Store button on this page goes to its App Store page; if it isn’t open in your country yet, please check back shortly.

Is it really free?

Yes. Scaling, unit conversion, adding recipes, step timers and the shopping list are free, with up to 5 saved recipes and 3 Decor Inspo groups. Plus ($1.99 a month or $19.99 a year) adds the cost calculator and unlimited recipes, and Pro ($4.99 a month or $49.99 a year) adds the Business tab and the Supermarket trip. The yearly plans start with a 7-day free trial.

Which recipes can it read?

Recipe websites that publish their recipe in the standard recipe format most food sites use, the description of a YouTube video, the caption of a public Instagram post, text you paste, and photos of recipes. Any line it can’t read is kept exactly as written, so nothing is lost.

What about cups?

Grams are the main measure, and you can switch a recipe to cups and spoons or back to how it was written. Cups differ around the world, so you choose the cup a recipe uses: US 240 ml, metric 250 ml or Japanese 200 ml. If a recipe doesn’t say, the US cup is assumed, and you can change it in the recipe.

Do I need an account?

No. Everything works without one. If you sign in (email, Google or Apple), your settings and saved recipes are backed up so they move with you to a new phone. Photos stay on your phone.

Where are my recipes kept?

On your iPhone. If you sign in, a backup copy of the recipe text and your settings is kept in your account, which only you can read. Read the Privacy Policy for the details.

How do I cancel Plus or Pro?

In the app, go to Settings, then Manage subscription. Or open your iPhone’s Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.

I have a new phone. How do I get Plus or Pro back?

Open Settings in the app and tap Restore purchase, using the same Apple Account you subscribed with.

Does translation send my recipe anywhere?

No. Translation uses Apple’s translation on your iPhone. The first time, your iPhone may download the language; after that it translates without the internet. It needs iOS 18 or later.
